Heat vs Cold

Cousin just sent me a email of their winter this year and in the photo you can see launches, barges & yachtys all frozen in, this photo was taken on the ocean which had frozen over and the ice was 15cm thick and the temperature where they are ice skating was -19 degrees, my family is somewhere in the photo. They also have little yacht looking things (like a ice sledge think) and go sailing on the frozen ice, like we do with the dry lakes in central Australia little yachts with wheels. They get snow bound in their homes and explained its the same here with the heat of our summers

An ice yatch, is so fast
An ice yatch, is so fast that it generates it's own apparent wind and can sail in any direction regardless of where the wind is blowing from. It is also about the only thing that can sail faster then the wind speed.

prefer the heat myself,
but snow is great. lived in alaska for a winter and had an absolute ball. the dry cold is very easy to manage.
just don't like the wet cold
were's that pic from?
