slightly different to me Honsu, i still have the hook and its attaching split ring going to the eye of the jig....

Do you think it makes much difference?

Is your way better/stronger, does it give the jig any different/better action?

If the hook is attatched to the lure thu the eye of the lure you are using the wire of the lure as a terminal tackle , if its attatched to a ring that is on the split ring with the swivel also attatched to the split then you are not using the lure as part of the rig if you can follow me , then the lure swings free rather that be part of the tackle.

If you follow the lure Honsu has up in the pic ,the leader is connected to the swivel which is connected to the split with the ring and assist hook also on the split ring , that way the lure weight isn't putting any strain on the terminal end so it can't help dislodge the lure when the fish shakes his head.

You wouldn't want to lose a good fish because of some shonky wire in the lure thats what I'm getting at.

I don't know if I explained this right , maybe I better stick to fishing and not explaining things ass about .
