Jigged Dhu
Submitted by scere_182 on Wed, 2012-01-25 08:45
Finally christened the new boat... Posting on behalf of my bro, who landed this solid Dhuie.
Caught with a 4000 saltiga/ HR Jigforce PE1.5-3 Combo on a Maria 150g Blue Flame Jig.
Thanks to Steve (Tackle HQ) for all his help and advice and me for skippering on the day ;)

great fish Dave especially on the jig and a good day out fellas. it was a little slow in the morning but turned it on around 11am. Daves turn to drive next time Rob and your turn to shine cheers :) a good mixed bag and once again the artificials reigned supreme over stinking bait

Cracking Dhuie Scere. What
Cracking Dhuie Scere. What depths were you guys fishing at? We have tried 20's up to 42m and nothing that even looks like a dhuie off our usual haunts. Have caught just about everything else though. Just wondering if they're at a certain depth at the moment?

Same thing seakem tried from
Same thing seakem tried from 20m out to the 40's... This one was caught in 38m.
I also landed a smaller dhu on a mc carthy in the same depth before this one.
A bit hit and miss i guess? Trolled between spots for nothing also.

Cheers Scere. There is hope then ;). We were going to troll last weekend but the weed put a stop to that. Hopefully we can score a day this weekend.
