No, ganged hooks and wire trace believe it or not. It was that well hooked I couldn't get it out until I got home.

I was the only one fishing

Sun, 2008-06-08 15:43

I was the only one fishing at this spot, but lost another one that wasn't hooked to well right at the net. If someone else was there to give me a hand I would've got that one too I reckon. I had asked a mate to come along but he wanted to try my other spot. So he missed out. I text him and he came up and took the pic but they had gone off the bite by that time.

wire?

Wed, 2008-06-11 17:01

Is the wire due to the spaniards at that spot?.........i've hear of a few fish coming from such area if it's where i'm thinking!

Well done mate!

I use the wire mainly in

Thu, 2008-06-12 10:16

I use the wire mainly in case of sharks but it hasn't been putting the snapper off. A metro mackie from the shore........... that would be nice. Have heard similar rumours but have yet to see it with my own eyes. Have missed a couple of real screamer of runs though, but who knows for sure. Have seen a few more pinkies landed by others too. Shaping up to be a fantastic winter.

pinks!

Thu, 2008-06-12 15:30

Yeh i thought sharks also Daniel but a friend told of spaniards & pinks at a northern rockwall recently so i'd assumed.

I've found also that wire or heavy hardware doesn't seem to be an issue when the pinks are on the chew......do agree about the season.....looks good, see ya out there!
