Jurien Dhuey

Picture of my nine year old son with the Dhuey he caught on Whiteys charter Friday October the first. We had a crew of four fathers and their sons rangeing in age from seven to twelve. What a fantastic day, we managed to land a tuna on the way out and this fish was caught on one of the first drops. It weighed 40 pounds on the old scale and Charlie bought it in without any assistance on a Fin Nor 5500 offshore and Shimano Deep Jig 400. One other large Dhu caught that day 34 pound and the usual assortment of other fish.

Great Catch!
I recon the excitement brings on the bear hugs LOL. Not much chance of it getting away. It's a bit like my grandaughter holding the cat except she hugs closer to the head LOL.

thats the sort of dhuie so many can only dream of catching. thats a mighty fish for a young fella to catch. whats with the kids getting the big ones lately, first its Jessee and now Bullwing jnr. congrats

Great fish mate - the young fella must have been loving it. I have done heaps of diving in and around Jurien and the biggest dhuie I have ever seen was up there in about 8m of water.
