Yeh mine went over 7kg on the lie detector, apparently the locals dont see much over 8.5kg, my PB.....tasted nice, turned a few heads at the ramp.....felt funny keeping a fish to fillet, been a while!

7.4 and 9.6kg
First trip we got onto them we weighed them at bluewater. Filleted them up and tried some for dinner, yuk!, like eating bits of rubber no matter what we tried.
Now we release all of the larger fish (over 4kg). Good fun on eggbeaters in 25 metres of water but. The thing is they usually travel in small schools, so once you get the first the next couple usually follow pretty closely behind.

Yeh that's good, I went from a 2kg fish to 7kg PB, I've only got two as I dont bottom fish much up there, mainly sports & game! Yeh it was certainly tuffer than most fish but cooked in a batter and was like ckicken pieces hehe :)
