macks at westend

left hillarys at 6am,alot of boats with trolling gear,went via the south side, started trolling at 7.30am,beautiful conditions,Matt caught a sbf on a l/pro[tea I believe, contiued trolling and sa w a macko boated near westend,changed the l/pro for a quantas xrap and caught a nice 14 kilo macko, very quite, maybe spooked by the amount of boats,left for hillarys and picked up a plakky bag on the way home, all systems worked and no damage! can't believe the amount of crap in our oceans.
back at the marina at 1pm, with the seabreeze up our tail, its was about getting another macko,so I guess we did that,couple of more would have been nice.
seabreeze did get the forecast right yesterday

Well done mate. You were obviously one of the many boats we saw at westend yesterday trolling. We tried for several hours with halcos but only one SBT. Agree, too many boats probably spooked em.
