Manta Ray we spotted off Triggs today

Had a great day today catching big plump whiting off Scarbs. On the way we drove past something on the surface of the water. We turned around and went back, and to our amazement was a Manta ray. First time ive seen one, not how many are spotted around the metro area? Sorry about the pic, come from the iphone.

Wicked... I didnt realise they came down this far... or is this just another northern species to add to the metro list.. cant wait for the Barra to arrive!!

Great to see one
Great to see one in metro, even better to get a picture. I have only seen one myself metro. About 2 months ago of Mindaries but wasn't quick enough to get a picture .

yes dont worry, i had a look at what was swimming under it...no such luck. Would of been great to chalk up my first cobia in Metro waters!
