Caught this Maori Wrasse a couple months ago off Cairns. Their a beautiful fish and even better on the plate, but they're protected now so he went back in. They also pull pretty hard!

I know there are a few different species of Maori Wrasse, but that one's a Hump-headed Moari Wrasse, and believe it or not it's just a baby. They grow to well over 100kg! Over here the dive boats seek them out and hand feed them - Trivia - They always name them "Wally" as in Where's Wally. Anyway, they became protected a couple years ago when the new green zones were created and seem to be increasing in numbers.
