Got him when we doing abit of recon out wide. Had a couple good fish on board so went looking reeeaaaallllyyy deep and on one of the lllllloooooonnnnggg retieve's (550++) it hit at about the 280m mark. He didn't put up any fight though till he was 60m from the surface, thought we had tangled our lines as the rod wasn't bent at all. But when he started he went right off, got a video of the most of the fight at one stage it came out the water shaking it head 30m from the boat then walked towards the boat only to swim into the outboard and then dive back down. Eventually got him onboard. Not sure how much it weighed but it did feed about 8 family's, not bad on the tooth they are super oily. Very unexpected to catch one at all but really enjoyed doing so !!!

More deep water captures
Makes you wonder if they are more common out there than what we may think
With a lot more people pushing further offshore who know we may see another one or 2
Great fish,well done
