Monties

Monties

Just got back from a 12 day monties trip. 4 boats 8 mates another epic trip. Launching at fortescu easy trip over , setting up camp is a massive effort but everyone chipped in and cold beer after its done perfect. The fish were on, easy to hook but to beat the sharks was ridiculous, they were everywhere.  Each day produced ,picking a one prized fish off a spot then move, and move again. We ventured out to Tryal rock first time for me, what a spot! Big waves lots of current plenty of fish. Mackerel to 25kg dozens around 10 - 16kg trout on mackie lures.  A very spectacular place. We chased the fish hard with the boat, even towing a few to try and beat the sharks.  A day I will remember . We ticked pretty much all the boxes, reds, blues, trout, robbos , Rankins.  Got a couple of windy nights camp got smashed but that's how it goes. Sand flys were annoying got a few tricks but all worthwhile. The place is unbelievable. Just need those of us who use it to keep it pristine.  Picking up rubbish and smashed stubbies is bullshit.  Sorry can't work out the multi photo thing so the trout will do.

That's a cracking couple of trout, and sounds like a blter of a time, certainly on my bucket list of places to see and fish.

Unfortunately seems most places you go these days, no matter how remote, you are picking up some other sh*t c**ts rubbish, good on you for doing so though.
