C'mon, tell us the story of how it happened. Or is it a contender for the Darwin awards? (Sorry I shouldn't joke about something that looks excruciatingly painful)
Yeh, I had to move it off the latest image, was starting to gross me out a bit thinking about the puss and skin coming off, looks like its pretty freshly done. So what'd ya do Street?>?
i fell over running round a bonfire and my hand + arm + knees got burnt my hand went through the embers into very hot sand. it is very sore but i dont know whats worse the narcotics i am on or the pain.
almost a darwin award i burnt the same hand 2 yrs ago had a firework explode in it.
I can't imaging the pain you would have felt Street, the closest I have come to something like that was helping my dad and brother-in-law fell a big tree in the back yard. I was 17 at the time and we set up a rope and pully system to lower a big branch down safely. My brother-in-law was up the tree (big gum tree) and I was on the rope with my dad behind me. Well the branch cracked and we took the strain. Unfortunately the branch weighed more than me and my dad put together and the rope wizzed through my hands, my dad let go and I was lifted 10m into the air, with the rope causing massive friction burns (theres a joke there for someone) before I realised what was happening and finally let go. Dropped the 10m down, using the rope friction to control my descent and further injuring my hands.
From memory it was a good month before I could hold anything and clench a fist.
In your case, hopefully you were pissed at the time and the alcohol numbed the pain a bit. Best of luck with the recovery mate.
You know - when the blisters open, liquid pulp outta the inside of a aloe vera plants leaf will take the pain out in a few minutes - but I'm not sure with that degree of burn that the risk of infection would be worth it!
Hope it gets better soon!
Grossin me out just lookin at it!
Maybe keepin it in saltwater would help it heal quicker?
Just go fishin till it's better! ;o)
Maybe find a sympathetic doc who writes a medical cert, stating "Street will be unfit for work until he's caught at least 20 more duie's!" ;o)

Sheesh
Looks like you got the hang of two finger typing. :))
Thought they would have given you some good painkillers for that. Might be a while before you get a rod in your hand again looking at the damage.
