back down for some more action this arvo and there were a few too many people there for a while! 30knt W winds squalls and not nice at all but didnt stop the tailor fm showing up! lost heaps again but 4 on the stones was enough, gizmo didnt do too well!

I guess the weekend's weather would have made fishing at Chinamans a bit tough. Hopefully the big guys are still hanging around.

gale force last nite colin! took doug down there onto the rock and it was quality shite! wx 35+knt squalls and horrid wx but we stuck it out for a while, doug got a tailor and i got one but in the end we pulled the pin! too much suge and current, in the end the fish won! but glad to get doug into a fish, top bloke that!

I spoke to Doug this morning and he was stoked - he said it was great to get out for a fish with you and he learned a lot.
Hopefully the conditions will get better for you in a day or two.
Have you noticed that the big tailor are turning up at Chinamans just before a big blow, or is it just that this is a good time of the year for the big greenies?

nah now that we are coming onto a fuller moon col the tailor are shutting down, the combination of moon and the lower tides after dark put them off, they come back in numbers after the full moon goes! last nite was as rough as ive fished there and too much tide as well dont think the big tailor liked it either! gona give it a rest cos we got a 8+ m swell coming the next couple of days so ill be couch fishing! yeah top bloke doug ill spend some more time w him when he comes back up in august!
