Nice fish but shattered about losing the big boy. A metre fish is the pinnacle of snapper fishing I reckon. I was going to head out but decided to wait till tomorrow. Where did you launch from and how was it on the water today?
Bust off or just pulled the hook? Having to retie a leader on after loosing a solid fish is just a second kick to the cods, bet the knot was tight as haha
knots were perfect he just mangled the hook n popped it out....not the first time its happened either....had a heap off jigheads straightened aswell :( and I only use the extra heavy tt jigheads
The tt Jigheads are bloody crappy, I had one mangled by a 1m pinkie aswell out near Garden Island, fell off right at the side of the boat. I only try use the nitros now

Cool picture. Sounds like the pinkie season is going well. Must have been nice a fresh out there and a bit of a challenge with a metre plus pinkie.
