Muldys first marlin

Muldys first marlin

looked like a shitty day at the biddy, strong winds ese, went out at 9am, place is chockers with bloody sharks, headed 10 mile south, landed a few mackos, some  all chopped up by sharks, put the picked down, timbo caught a c/trout and a coranation trout,we got some macks and tuna, plenty of sharks, gave up and went trolling, bang oh Muldy gets a strike, the boys call it for a sailfish, bugger me dead its 60kilo of very lively blue marlin??,on the same xrap that caught all the mackos at mindarie, came to the boat many pictures and released well, headed home picked up more mackos, one nice 25 kilo one that the sharks had a ball with, it was a long day with a few nice fillets.

Kicking arse, I told you that delayed departure was maybe a blessing in disguise. Good fish Muldy!

Lovely little Black and I'm with Mitch with the weight guess. Sure is easy to get excited and overestimate though.

nice fish...  those little marlin fight well they don't weigh much for there size though.. I don't want to detract from a great capture however I think you might find its not anywhere near 60kg. I agree that it does look more like a black then a blue.
