Mulloway on Jig
Submitted by Kris on Wed, 2011-08-31 16:30
Went to Kalbarri over the weekend for a day and a half fishing. Instead of the usual spinning for Tailor and soaking bait at night for mulloway we decided to hire a boat and jig. Wasen't really expecting to catch much as none of us had any real experiance on boats so it was all new to us.

You seem to have a talent
for hooking fish on knife jigs that are generally considered uncommon catches whilst jigging. And in the mouth to I note as compared to another on this site.

Hahah that jig has caught me
Hahah that jig has caught me all my fish when i head out with you whitey and it seemed to work really well in Kalbarri as well. Had a massive hook up on the last drift for the day and it bricked me. Lucky i had a spare jig (same colour and size). went back to the same spot next morning first drift and i was on again. No pelagic action Paul, we did set some lures on the way out the first day but pulled them in pretty quick. The water was real dirty.

Funny
Funny that you posted this pic. I was talking to a mate last night about jigging and I said that I had never heard of a jewie being caught on jig. Nice fish and pic.
