camped up river last night. caught 2 of these pike eels. there has been some big ones caught up here in the last 6 months. decided to keep them, really nice white flesh and actually taste quite nice. vicious temperament on them but! if they latched onto you you would lose a finger! awesome night, some big bream caught and nice soapie mullas caught as well.

sweet, never seen one of those before
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Different
Now thats a bit different . Never seen any thing quite like that caught in WA rivers before . Gees you would get a shock the first time it came into view after hooking it .

quite a few
theres qyute a few in the river. theres been some bigger ones caught up river. filleted them up and anazibg taste. definately like flathead they do need to be kept on an ice slurry overnight so the flesh can firm up before filleting. awsome fun on bream gear they put up a good fight! just keep yr hands well clear of their head!!
