well, they have the 1 meter club if you get over 1m (but not sure its an actual club, just a title). So if there was a 3 foot club, you'd be in it as that tailor is over 3 foot.
yeah it did put up one hell of a fight as i got it close enough to tail it it had chewed through the line. i dont know about any tailor clubs its all pretty new to me.
There is a rumour going round town from a reliable source that a 1.02 metre tailor was landed and released along with a 1.97 partner a fortnight or so back from Dwyer's leap. Would love to see the pics if any were taken.
BTW is that stil running? Thought flying fisherman were sponsoring it till like april or something but that post is gone... Also havent seen the POTM for a while?
POTM = photo of the month, and that mate... is potentially a contender i reckon ;-) Though there have been some awesome fish recently so one hell of a competition
Huge Tailor there matey and yes cuthbad I am still sponsoring POTM, don't know what has happened to the Feb comp and March just about due, I guess we will be voting on a couple of the comps in close succcesion ?
On half a Mulie too. Always remember my meter + Tailor. Fishing as a Uni student of Wittacarra. Got there way first, but poor student only had a grandma car of a Corrolla. So from the creek bed watlzed in. About an hr later a bunch off "gray nomad" mates turned up in they 4x4s and the pr*%$ks pushed me off the gutter I was in (the best spot). As soon as I rebaited there was one in my spot. About 20 of them and I was a state rugby player and just about wanted to flatten the lot. Men in blue came to my mind and I got sense.
Decided to leave and went to the Blue hole trying for some lesser fish, on light breamsky gear, and hooked a screamer. 1.02m and was I over the moon. Not nearly as fat as that one, but over the m. Still loved smoked tailor and those days catch and release was not something a hungry student did.
Drove back to Witta, carrying the Tailor and shoved it up the old farts. Thought it was possibly a record (it wasnt so they do go bigger and as the tackle shop owner said "big but small for here sometimes). He did take a pic and it was on the brag wall for some time.
Mate that is still one very very large and very fat greenie. Oh fark that is a no no word on this site now. Greenback!!!!
Its a honour club, much like the Golden duck club in cricket (which I am a member offf ) and the barra club 1m club. Its just to say that you are in it. Pilbarra brad and others on here is in it. I also think that there is a 50cm bream club, but like I said only a term of honour, not a club as in the Eagles etc.
Up north its 12foot surf rods, 20-30lb mono or 40-50lb braid. 4 x 4/0 gang and wire trace. I use similar here though. Been bitten off heaps on 40lb 7strand too.
