4 stroke 150hp

Sat, 2008-03-08 15:07

running a yamaha 4 stroke150hp,200 litres fuel,self draining deck,deck wash etc

kill tanks / wash thru-trim tabs ,took her out today for 3 hrs running motor in,unbelievable, the obvious noise was there with the aly surrounds but the tabs on this work amazing, unlike my quinnie i had.. levels the boat out with ease..had to callobrate the fuel sensors .and i have a static (bad) on the marine radio which i may need to replace.. but monday is the day.. 30miles out first fishing trip..these motors r awesome,i had one before only did 30hrs on her but fuel consumption was great we tripped 150km round trip and didnt break half a tank with 120litres so this should be even better bigger tank..its not uncommon to get 450-500 km on a tank,,running it in is basic ,up to 300 rpm for first hr,then up to 450rpm up til 5 hrs ,then any rpm but no longer than 10 mins at a time til 10 hrs then normal run.. thats a warranty recomendation

Nice stuff Harro. I've recently fitted a 150hp Yammie 4 stroke to a 6.1m plate boat. Very happy, plenty of go, great economy and a nice growl when she gets up in the rev range.
