My PB Dhuie

I caught this a little while ago while out with a mate in about 30 meters of water. I didn't have a boat rod so I used my 9' Ugly Stik and Mitchell real. Redneck setup really but hey; look at the pic......

Yeah Robbo LOL
It was an experience. We only went out for a bit of fun. My 9' Ugly is ready for a new gloss coat. I also caught a very large Samo that day. I ended up with very sore shoulders and quit pissed after the celebration. All in all, it is in the quality of the gear. The rod excelled beyong expectations and the Mitchell reel really saved the day.
Cheers, Vince

Yes.
All the clear coat in now flaking off due to excessive bending. I was really suprised that the rod was able to lift such a weight. The fight lasted quite some time and plenty of sweat was about. The fish weighed in at 20.5 kilos. I sent the pic to the Sunday Times but they didn't seem interested in publishing it.
