My PB Groper so far from Albany

My PB Groper so far from Albany

I headed out the other morning on not such a fantastic day, 2m-3m swell plus windy as well. Hadn't been out for about three weeks so just had to go anyway. I only got on the water after 8.30am so a sleep in. Headed out 20kms plus then decided too rough so came back in closer to explore. Looked around for a couple of hours then changed my mind again and headed back out. So a real late start to fishing,  well it didn't take long for a decent Blackarse to come on board. I was happy enough with that but kept on doing my drifts. After a while a decent harlequin also was boated. Inbetween I could feel something grabbing/sucking on my baits but not hanging on. I decided to anchor in 30m of water over a lump. Well 1st drop and tap, tap and bang I was on. I knew straight away this was a good fish with a few short but powerful run and heavy head shakes. After a few minutes up come this ripper Groper my PB so far. Yeharr I was stoked and decided this was enough quality fish for this trip and headed home, a happy fisho
