Nasty Growth

Nasty Growth

I have caught a few over the years this big, but have never kept one.  The big ones are quite a challenge to catch...as they sometimes charge you.  This one was especially challenging to catch as there was a fair amount of bottom surge.

Diving near Dyer Island, Rotto, in 18 metres.

3750 grams; 183mm Carapace.  Probably in the 30+ age group.

Nice Nice, not a bad guess either re the weight and a quality cray mate....especially up against a tall person!

Good photographer also

"Ask sherb as we had green curry rolls the other week and it came up sweet!"

Wouldn't worry how it came up, but how it goes out... Soundy spicey
