New boat Thresher 190CC
Submitted by Fozz on Mon, 2013-02-04 15:53
A big thanks to Peter & Luke at Chivers Marine, who brokered the purchase of our new boat on Friday. Exactly what we wanted, took her out Sunday for a blast and handled great. We shopped around and looked at Gensis, Goldstar, Barcrusher but from reports on this site and speaking to people I couldn't find fault with their Shark series, this one being the Thresher 190CC. As with all new toys, the missus bagged me watching me wash it down yesterday, stating I don't wash our cars with that sort of enthusiasm ( a good reason why).
Happy Camper Foz

Great Boat!!!
Great looking boat.. we have had our 19 foot Thrasher for nearly a year and we love it. We have fished Jurien bay, Exmouth, Dunsborough and every weekend we are out on local water. We have done nearly 1500 nautical miles on it and its never let us down. And the service from the boys at Chivers is second to none.

Well done Fozz
Where are you now? That certainly does not look like a Pilbarra boat ramp buddy.

Hey Neels
In Perth mate, package is 12mths old & had done 12hrs, so was a good buy considering all the extra it came with that we wouldn't of otherwise have bought.

Great looking rig
I am with you. I think buying new is like throwing a few $$ in the bin. Let someone else loose that money and buy second hand IMO. Still waiting for the Queen Mary to go "on sale". Then we will have a big FW party.

Boat details
Hi Dave, we got lucky with this one as its 12mths old with a whopping 12hrs on the motor, its got a lot of extras that aren't standard i.e a plumbed fibreglass esky/seat in front of the concole, deck wash & live baot tank, twin kills tanks, Low. HDS10 +++, we got this for $54k. New I think your looking at $60k+, but without all the extra maybe $50k. Have a chat to Peter @ Chiver, very helpful. Haven't been fishing in yet, just been popping out to bag a feed of crabs in the sound. The only it is missing is drink holders in the console, coming soon.
Hey Johno, you any idea if there a waiting list to join CPBA? Have submitted my application form & fees, so just waiting to hear.
Cheers Foz
