IMO that size duhie is better off being released by the time u fillet it your left with 10% edible meat and 90% head and guts. Not having a dig mate just my opinion. Poor little bugger probably wasnt even old enough to get a load off
You don't have to fillet every fish, that size fish is perfect to bake in the oven and delish it will be. When you haven't been out for a while and your freezer is fish less it is better to come back with a fresh feed for dinner instead of nothing. You can't catch the big ones all the time. IMO
Im sure there are a lot of guys out there who have caght dhuies this size and put them on the bbq. Sherbs just made the mistake of putting the pics up ,where all the others hide the pics in case someone has a dig.hope they tasted good Sherbs

Good for you Steve! Nice fish. I have a few classic recipes of my own that could do justice to some legal sized juveniles you managed there.
A feed is a feed... as long as the catch is legal.
I guess you are damned if you do and damned if you do !!!
By that I mean, Steve puts up a couple of shots of (probably) just sized dhuies and a snapper... some guys attack him...
I'm sure if he put up a kick arse dhuie or snapper he would have been attacked for killing off the breeders..
If the fish is of a legal size, no problems in keeping it..
I guess that's the call of the individual angler - keep a small one and hope you don't get onto bigger fish later, or release the just sized stuff to live another day, or release the oversized ones to keep breeding.
Probably just doesn't look the best posting images of legal just sized fish IMO...
But I am sure they will go down a treat when cooked in the oven or on the bbq !!
