Poor old big blue
Submitted by Jack Dawson on Mon, 2009-12-14 18:25.
Hi fella's. I have been getting heaps of these lately, with the best session producing up to 10 solid fish, the vast majority are released, in-fact I think in the last two months I have landed over 40 and kept 4, usually only keep the small ones but this poor guy got washed by a big wave into a barnacle crack so he was in no shape for release...I would like to make it clear that I do not like killing the larger ones and would much prefer to see them swimming around, dodging spearo's than on the dinner plate! On the up side the spot I was fishing was very remote and I saw a couple of other fish that were similar size so this capture hopefully won't put a dent in that population! Hope you like the piccy...Jack

Pic of month contender for sure
Awesome fish and great to hear that most of them go back. Never feel bad about taking home a feed, especially when you are only keeping one in ten.
Three days without it and I get a little jumpy.
