quiet at westend

left hillarys at 6ish,went via the north end, caught a nice little sharkie[my son Paul on xrap] by 7.45am continued around to westend, spent 4 hours trolling for zilcho, tried to berly and use floaters on the way home [north end] no luck, the water temp is coming down only 24.6

 Would have been nice out

Thu, 2011-03-24 16:26

Would have been nice out there today, shame about the mackies not turning up though.

The reports seem to be thinning a little, hopefully it's not drawing to an end so soon.

I like the sharkies, great

Thu, 2011-03-24 16:38

I like the sharkies, great colouring on them, nice!

Tues morn had a troll were we slayed em about 3 weeks back, fair bit south of your grounds, couldn't find a fish.

Water temp there had dropped to 23.9 and was an ugly greeny colour, got me thinking the game might be over too.

Certainly hope not.

nice fish mate - i've never caught a metro sharkie - did you eat it?  great to catch but not the best mack to eat IMHO - certainly edible, but they seem to be extra bloody
