No on my screen it's dark when compared to my other pics, a flash would really highliht the colours more and I sometimes use a flask with the polarizer lens on, makes a difference too!
Nice fish BTW, arms touch the ground after a fish like that hehehe :)

To be 110% sure - you'de have to count the gill rakers!
But if I was a betting man, I too would say Sambo!
Here above is a Peter Morse pic of one in the water at the Abrolhos Islands (cover shot of the new Flyangler magazine). In my experience, they can change color in the water when they are stressed, - e.g. when not sure whether somethings safe to eat or not, most especially after they have been caught and released, a few times already! ;o)
I've sat and watched the tame ones at the Abrolhos - while hand feeding them on many occasions, and seen this behavioural trait quite often - actually watched them changing color as they swim around your feet!
I do have some vid footage of it on a disc here somewhere (hand feeding the sambo's @ the Abrolhos) but no idea how to upload it to the web!
Fascinating to watch!
You can learn a LOT about fish just watching their feeding behaviour IMHO!
Cheers!

Sambo for me too.
When a Sambo gets stressed their colour fades a bit and it looks like they have bands .
