Stinky Barracuda

Went for a fish on Sunday trolling the nearby atolls. Chased marlin for most of the time when we weren't running the reefs of the atolls. No marlin unfortunately but six barracuda, two tuna and a tastey wahoo that we enjoyed on Monday night. I bought a new lure on Saturday and there is only about 10% of the paint left on it, barracuda are brutal on lures. Straight to the pool room with that one.

Taste
I prefer them to Spanish Macks. Having said that we don't get Macks here so I just have to go with what I can get. Not a bad problem to have.

Way better than Macks.
Way better than Macks. Definately as good as a little Black Marlin.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

At the Montes we had the two
At the Montes we had the two to compare against each other and the hoo was definately a lot better than the mack (and I like fresh macky a lot). Wahoo is very very good and barracuda aren't, sounds like you had a great day out Soupy. Just google earthed where you live mate and it certainly looks like paradise!

Paradise
It is paradise mate. You need google earth to find Pohnpei as it doesn't appear on major maps. It's a magic place that's for sure. Hoping to get into some more wahoo and dogtooth tuna tomorrow.
