not even close to a sea carp,
not even close to a sea carp, way too heavy . A type of buff bream, see them in schools of normal buuffies sometimes

Definitely a western rock blackfish
Western sea carp are more slender, closer to a coral trout or harlequin than a buff bream

Western Rock Blackfish
Very variegated colouration, but the blue tinges are a giveaway. Nowhere near as common as the Eastern Rock Blackfish, or black drummer, is over east which is a pity. I've actually caught a few of these right up here at Kalbarri, supposed to be restricted to the SW corner of the state.
