Beaut conditions in Cairns at the moment. This fellow beat a few of his brothers to the lure. Can never get sick of this!
Lure: Roosta Green and Gold
Reel: Stella 8000
Line: 60 pound Sensor braid
Rod : Old-faithful Ugly stik

The ugly stick's an old
The ugly stick's an old GPG2030. Nothing flash I know but I really enjoy using it, heaps of power. Only mods are a heavy duty tip and larger stripper guide.
I haven't used stick-baits....yet.

Great fish
Great fish Steve. Don't like how close that back treble on the popper is to your arm thou, could have made for some new piercings if he got unhappy. :( All in all a great fish thou, looks like the first serious contender for the May Photo competition.

Funny name, serious rod!
Remember that slogan boys? About 20 years old I think.
Nice fish there Steve. Plenty of exotic sticks around these days but I'd hate to think of how many good fish have been knocked over on ugly stiks. Must be millions!

Might have to give the smaller ones a shot next time I don't have much luck on the big ones. Not too sure how the GT86 will cast a 64 gram popper though.

Great fish and pic Steve
I am insanely jealous of the conditions and the quality fish pics each and every post. You must be having a ball up there. Another top effort mate.
Cheers
