This is a pic of a baby one...really pretty. I've never caught a rankin cod...don't know if they are the same fish....all the Maori Cod I've seen have been caught well ofshore...they are great eating too

nah seansurfy it's definately not a rankin, rankins are black with white blotches but the body structure is really similar.
