Soft feet
Man those soft feet and calf muscles dangling around must be manna from heaven for a hungry bronzie. Obviously must be well fed up that way.
Great vid.

Dunno big john. They didn't
Dunno big john. They didn't seem to show any interest in the divers at all. Maybe tht's just their nature or possibly they are well fed.

Friendlies...
I remember when Jase got in the water (they are his feet you can see) without fins on, I was thinking "screw that!" they sure must look tasty!
We got quite a bit more footage with sharks up there on this trip...just before this spot we looked into the water and saw what we thought were a bunch of cobia, so i chucked on the mask and fins and took the camera under to get some gold...turns out they were a school of bronzies!
Was a little exciting for the first few moments till it was obvious they werent interested in me...
I swam down to a couple of them, sized between 4 - 6ft, and they were decidedly cautious and wouldnt let me get closer than say 5 - 10m away, but then the rest of them caught up, in the footage I think you can count about 8 in one shot, but i think there were about 12 - 15 around...i was paying close attention! When there were that many around they went from cautious to curious, with the bigger ones swimming up towards me at times, with no fear, which was definitely the cue to get out - after a few shots of course!
But at no point was there any aggression or excitement on their part, no threatening postures - I agree with Jay, I reckon they are well fed and would have no natural interest in eating us, not these little guys. You hear of spearos having fish eaten off their spears all the time, especially up there (we did a little bit of spearing on this trip, as soon as a fish was nutted there was a bronzy on the spot) with little or no interest shown in the human attached to the other end...
Alot of the time you go for a swim or dive there are narks around, especially in the northern half of this state - you just dont see 'em!
