na big john it was on a halco red and white 2 m diver.we were trolling for trout in about 4 m off water.geese they make ya piss though andy or scotty for the coin there a great reel .ya cant go passed them as far as the price IMO always in it just the depth that varies

lost a lot of gear to the reef .last trip .running about 4 m of 150 pound leader as without it the trevs win every time . deffinatly get less trout running it but still get them always in it just the depth that varies
ran a few halco skin deeps a little away from the bommies trying for a few spanglies.ended up with 2 trout on 20lb gear plus a couple of smaller trevs and yes i left both lures with the local trev population.i think with the poppers ya need to pull up and pitch them at the bommies .retreeve them with a bit rod work to get the best out of them .we were to lazy this trip for that and didnt have the right rod reel set up to do it
