Yeah I’m a fisho and I kill
Yeah I’m a fisho and I kill things for a feed .. and getting a bit soft maybe , but it’d be a better look if they didn’t have to kill it for the sake of a record certificate . Hopefully the carcass goes to some use .

I would hazard a guess that
I would hazard a guess that the other two blokes in the photo actually caught the fish, developed the knowledge of where to go , set up the techniques , drove the boat , all the young girl did was reel it in . I may be wrong, but I don't know anyone who is 10 that can be responsible for catching a fish like that

.
Agree Chris.
To be recognised does one also need to provide video or third party witness that it was solely herself the caught it.
All my 11yo wants to do is play tennis and swim.
Power to the girl.

A Good read in the Latest Bluewater mag
A 10 year old smashed the small fry world record for a 116 kg SBT. Yes they only do the winding but that is what happens with a lot of the records. It's a team effort from all involved. This young fella fought it from a chair for 2 and a half hours and by all accounts was completely spent. Great effort from all involved I reckon

All gamefishing is a team
All gamefishing is a team effort. Billfish just take it up a notch. Need to get my young bloke to lift his game. Has only caught a sail, no Marlin for him yet.

Teamwork
As Dodgy mentioned, big game fishing is very much about teamwork.
However, rightly or wrongly, it's the angler's name that goes in the record books.
Most game fishing is still honour based, no need for video although a world record claim does require a witness.

That's a big stripey! Great
That's a big stripey! Great capture and a 10 y.o. is more than capable of fighting a fish like that. I love the immediate doubt from those that more than likely haven't caught anything more than a few Skippy in their time
