have to ask
Hey Dean have to ask
are you fishing north or south from ocean reef. we have been fishing west and north without any luck. Starting to think there are no fish out there but your pics show me it must be me lol. Have fished lots of lumps but lately but only a few undersize snapper on the bite.

Straight out and north of
Straight out and north of Oceanreef.
Just have to try a lot of depths etc to find where the fish are.
Previous 4-5 trips we have done we have been fishing deeper water, because we didn't have much luck inside the bank.

Thanks Dean
We must catch up on the water sometime. You live just up the road from me I think. Work weekends so my fishing day is Mondays. Good in the fact that I have the ramp to myself but don't see any other boats out there so don't know what depth peaple are fishing in. Last week tried the 120 mark out from ocean reef but couldnt find any structure to fish and no fish on the sounder .

Holth the ice lasts quite a
Holth the ice lasts quite a long time depending on how much you put in and how big the blocks are, and how often you open and close the top. Longest we have had Ice in there for is about 24hours, and there was lots left.
Paul, if you can find structure out that way you shouldn't have problems picking up pinks. And there is quite a lot out that way. On our Navman sounder we set the whole screen to bottom zoom 5m and we only just pick up flares on the bottom with 200khz. And 50khz sometimes doesn't pick up anything.
