1st Salmon Cheynes
Got down to Cheynes on Friday arvo, had a flick off the headland, not much around. On Sat I tried with baits on beach to no avail and it didnt look like anyone else was getting a great deal,so I went and chucked lures off headland all day(40gm twisty) still nothing so I put on a 5gm halco twisty and got a shitload of good sized herring, it broke the boredom. I met a bloke called Splitty whoo had got a couple of runs down on the beach and he reckoned just chuck your bait out and wait,(as you do). So, Sunday morn I went down to the beach and Splitty and his Scottish mate were draggin em in ! after the other, it took me a bit but I finally landed one after droppin a couple and ended up with 6 for the day,all 6-8kgs. One of them was on a 40gm twisty when there was a big school in about a foot water.I was happy with 6 but Splitty and his mate were even happier with their 40+ fish. Cant wait to get back down there!!!

Nice one
good to hear you didn't have to turn to the dark side (bait) to get your fish.
Did you get any pics of the 8kg model?

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
