2 hook rig

Hi Guys
I'm looking at rigging 2 hooks with wire leader for a bit of LB shark fishing, balloning and sliding rigs with whole fish, either dead or live, want to rig the first hook in a type of snell set-up but a bit difficult to tie in that fashion, do any of you have ideas on how to tie it in place, or should I just leave it in a sliding set-up?
I have searched the forums, but came up blank as to the tying method
Thanks
Mick

Perhaps consider crimping
it may simplify what you are trying to achieve. Sort of like a Pakula shackle rig without the shackle.

I crimp and use heat shrink
I crimp and use heat shrink to hold the wire down the shank of the hook to the trailing hook. then either crimp on my leader or tie on a good fluro.

Maybe try using a swivel or
Maybe try using a swivel or solid ring or something like that, and attach 2 single strand wire traces at diferent lengths with hooks on the end so that when they are lying next to eachother they are about 4 or 5 inches appart. Just haywire twist at each end, after some practice they wont pull appart. Havnt tried it tho, just an idea

If u wanting to use dead baits , the set up required is determined by the size of the baits , again the species and size of shark u targeting will determine the type of bait and size of bait .
The same go's with the live bait rigs , are u planning on swimming baits ( using from 5kg - 50kg live baits) or little baits and again what species of shark are u targeting. Different baits have different rigs .
If u just fishing metro and hoping to catch these little bronzie rats then a bite trace is all u need ...... 30cm 70lb steal - one fixed hook tied with a figure of 8 , one sliding on the steal , attach the steal to the mono ( 70lb is fine in the metro ) with a double figure of 8 . Then attach the mono to a swivel and so on.
This rig can be used on dead baits aswell as small live
baits - for small sharks.
If u let me know what species of shark u wanting to catch I can be more specific .
