Friggen awful conditions, we
Friggen awful conditions, we got a triple hookup within a minute of dropping the lures in, was thinking tuna and a nice prize...ended up as 3 nice Amberjack which was a surprise on surface lures but not big enough for a prize so were released. Too rough to jig so we trolled for another 4 hours covering a heap of ground for a big fat ZERO.........even a 1 KG Bonito would have won the Tuna prize.......greeted with a 2.5 hr trip home straight into the teeth of the nasty southerly to make for a miserable day. Ended with way too many beers at the MAAC club on an empty stomach and dehydration.....apparently perfect conditions for alcohol adsorption. Pissed as a newt and passed out as soon as I got home, sore body and head today.......

Must have been something in the Air Conditioing
...because the same thing happened to me. Wife not happy, but the Breaksea prize was most welcome. Also had a second one at spot on 1.8kg. 23nm out first thing in the morning was pretty ordinary, and the trip home not special either

Crap day
Trolled for about 20 mins til we decided there was too much weed and the water was a shit colour of green. So we went out behind 3 mile coz we had no intention of going out wide in that shite. Tried drifting in 30m. Nothing. Came in and berleyed up in 18-20m. Nothing. Thought we might try for a herring or gardie at Burns Rocks. Only a couple of herring about the size of mulies. Back out to 30ish m for a last gasp drift. Couple of wrasse. Worst days fishing in the boat ever. Better luck next year. And yeah, beers at the Maac were going down too easily so I left straight after presentations before I became a mess.

Bellyfish, was yours the 749 Genesis HT? Nice rig... We ended up with a few fish, nothing of size and a 4hr trip back punching through the sh!t with green water over the boat on more than one occasion.

2016 Bluewater
Counting down the days to this years edition. Haven't had a boat for a couple of years and am going out with a mate this year. I like how most of the prizes are fishing gear. The missus can't spend that.
