The ABC radio Saturday fishing report published on their website says that a 400kg marlin was tagged off the rotto trench last weekend - can anybody confirm that?

400kg would've been painful on standup. Tried it on 10kg and was pretty sore after nearly 3hrs.

Yeh I thought that was a typo on the website report
400lb is more believable for perth waters - did you get him?

I tagged one blue around
I tagged one blue around 170-180kg, and was briefly hooked up to another about the same size. The guys on Naturaliste got a blue about the same size as well.

I reckon yours maybe bigger. I saw the fish going berserk briefly after you hooked up. Was pretty spectacular. Did you guys get any video or photos of it jumping? Wish mine did some aerials but stay under the whole time. I think a big congrats to all that participated and well done to those that connected to fish. It was an awesome weekend. I'll see you at the presentation.

Yep last Wednesday bigger boat out there tagged a black, We hooked but dropped a sail fish water temp was 24.3 at the trench, yes 24. not a typo
