587 TM260 Dhu shot in ~50m
Headed out to what I call The D Spot. About the only spot around that area of the alphabet I can reliably hit! Got this shot so for those who may be wanting to know how dhuies show on a furuno.. I had hit reverse and that killed the bottom read for a second while I grabbed the phone and also hit Mark - no matter..
It's a fairly longish, thin cave and this shot shows it in north/south section. The RHS of the lump is the back of the cave, LHS being slightly steeper is the entrance. In the photo you can see the 2 bigger dhuies sitting on top as dark red nuggets - they don't get any clearer than that.. Some other little guys in yellow shown around them.
The cave - which this shot juuussst picks up, LHS mid section of the lump shown as two yellow holes in the dark red ground. I have had the sounder show the cave perfectly before, I was so gob-smacked at the screen I didn't get a photo..
The thin red line is me marking the spot (just in case it was slightly different to my mark)
This lump is less than the turning circle of the boat in size, it is tiny but holds a few fish. Sometimes they on the lump, other times inside the cave. If they are inside, you would not give it a second look, you also need the right drift to get it past their noses..
587/TM260 transom mount combo..
