..yes probably too light. My 18'6" (5.85m) Swiftcraft has a F115 Yamaha, goes well. Other , identical hulls with 100hp, not so good. Another mate has a 90hp Honda 4 stroke on a 19ft Westerberg ali ( heavy for an ali), and it is pretty slow. I would think that anything of that size outside of a bare-bones, light tinny would be underpowered badly with 75hp.
I have a 75 on my 19 ft Centre Console. With a foam filled bilge (so its a bit heavy), when empty, we can touch 30. When full of dive gear with a few people, 27-28.
Runs extremely economically at 18-20 knots which suits me.
