Heading up to 80 mile Beach over the weekend. Any ideas as to what might be biting this time of the year . Never been there before so it's a good excuse to try out the ranger for the first time out on the beach.

KISS look for the lowest
KISS look for the lowest depression on the beach, fish will run up those in the incoming tide.
Set up a baited line there and run it up to where you'll be sitting on deck chairs with BBQ running and a cold brew while watching the line, enjoy.

We went there in may last
We went there in may last year and went for a drive down the beach and went past a visible gutter and I said to the wife that it looked fishable but we kept going to find another one. Couldn't find anything else so just pulled over for a fish and on the way back saw someone was at the spot I first saw and they had a bucket full of threaddies.
They were few and far between that day but the few days beforehand they were apparently everywhere.

Been up and back. Soaked a bait for a while leading up to high tide. Ended up with a small shark . Driving along the beach this morning it looked like a few sharks were caught

Missed this one
Missed this one, but I'd follow the nomads, they're there day in and day out usually for 30 days at a spot - so usually know where to fish and for what. Did some driving up the coast yesterday and they were everywhere!
