80 series lift kit

I am looking at replacing the original stock standard suspension on my 1997 80 series cruiser with a 2" lift kit. Am after peoples opinions on what brand to go for ie west coast suspension, tough dog, iron man or any other, and whether to go with soft, medium or firm. Only really load up with weight when going away camping with the wife and kids (which aint that often) and only tow a 4.2m tinny with it. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated ie steering dampner, castor bushes.

fitted a 2 inch kit to my Cruiser years ago and it has been awesome, went medium light set up in the back and complimented with a set of poly air bags for when she is loaded up. This way you still get a smooth ride when it's not loaded up. I fitted a dampener at the same time to assist with the soft sand stuff.

 Whats your budget?

Mine had dobinson coils

Touch dog adjustable at first then swapped out for king remote reserviors.

I think they were a meduim rated spring and was great on and off road and towing was fine. This was a 6 inch lift though

I had foam cell shocks and didn't like the ride they gave, found them to be very harsh on rougher roads and in off road use in general. I now use double acting nitro charge shocks and find they handle a lot better on & off road, a lot smoother and over all ride quality to be a lot better.  I use the old man emu nitro charge sport, for the 80 series I would say you would be looking at $1600 to $1800 maybe? They do rated springs for what your carrying... For your car you can get the old man emu nitro LTRs shocks which look pretty cool but cost $$$ lol...
