Hey guys,
whats the best way of storing abalone in the freezer, on the occasion that I would like to bring some back for christmas?

Clean them then steam them
Clean them then steam them alive for 10 min.
Shuck, cool and freeze when cold.
This will minmize icing.

clean and freeze, never had any probs mate, best fresh, like oysters dont recomend freezing, as we get them so easy, bit of coconut batter , lime is awesome yummy

as the season closes dec 7th I thought I'd store a few frozen and see if it lasts through
would you recommend tendorising them before or after freezing?
Might check out on steaming them first alfred - thanks for the tip.

eating them all.....or did you save a few for the freezer
