Advice on new chartplotter

hi all
i have an awesome furuno unit which came with my boat which has radar/sounder and chartplotter in one, i want to keep it for sounder and radar only and buy another unit for chartplotter only.
i use the two examples below both of which are Lowrance 9 inch, Both have pre-loaded maps but the cheaper one (regardless of sale price) seems to have better (enhanced) maps -

my question is around whether there is any benefit in spending more given i only want it as a plotter?
cheers

 I'll throw in another option.
Bluebottle marine has the hds9 carbon on special for $1700 with the cmap reveal maps. They could be useful.

you get a lot of bang for buck these days - i remember when the old (small screen) navman trackers were around 2k :-)

I'd be going that too but

I'd be going that too but alternatively the unit is $1399 standalone (good if you already have map card), I'm still considering flipping my HDS7 Live for the HDS9 Carbon as my 627 is my primary sounder and the HDS is predominately for navigation.

I did and upgraded to the Live. As a plotter I can't see any different and hadn't installed a transducer for the Carbon. Best thing to do is wait until they get home from a haircut or pedicure etc then buy it...

Gave it to wife instead of Easter Egg .

She's so happy . She even gets to have 14 days off when I go to Dirk in a month's time land based .

Keep telling her she's lucky to be married to me  haha.
