AFL Round 2

 Righteo here we go ..

I’m a bugger for punishment and tipping Collingwood tonight not overly thrilled they’re dropping Cox though , however the tigers are dropping 3 from a winning side last week as well .. go figure

Thinking the swans , gws and hawks will rebound .

Bombers , weagles and demons a wins in the bag .

Cats v Roos I’m leaning towards the roos

Port though can’t see freo handing it to them on a platter like the cats ( well I hope not )

 Its not the recruits.

It is a lack of skill across the entire team and a gme plan (questionable) that doesnt give any licence to the kids who can kick (weller and tucker eg) dont get given the ball enough.

At least lachie neale's disposal efficiency has improved.

I am really scrapping the bottom of the barrell looking for something out of that performance.

47 tackles for whole game, you'd think that since we weren't getting our hands on the pill, we'd at least be tackling, indicative of the overall work rate.

Ross is as safe as houses,

Sun, 2017-04-02 22:39

Ross is as safe as houses, you cant pay a bloke out his 4 yr contract plus pick up another coach whom would all be on around the 1 mill mark you'd think especially if you are Freo and i'd imagine woudlnt have much cash unless Harley Bennell is selling gear to fund the club?

To his defense it is only rd 2....

The Eagles could have and maybe should have gone down, Geelong definitely should have gone down, It sounds like Carlton gave the dees a fair nudge and and both the rich coll game and the dogs syd game couldve had different results.....

I'm happy to admit that the Hawks were outclassed by a well oiled machine in the crows who look to be one of the top teams this year but who knows the Hawks could be a different team with another dozen games into the new fellas and a couple of youngins...

My point is... WAY too early to be putting the house on anything....

There will be many a swing from now until the end of september....

How much is Ross on per year?

Mon, 2017-04-03 12:29

How much is Ross on per year? 10,000 membership cancellations at $300-400 a pop is going to hurt a lot more than holding onto a lame duck coach. Then again after listening to 6pr this morning it looks like memberships are already being cancelled.

 SPLAT ..  Ross will survive

Mon, 2017-04-03 09:10

 SPLAT ..

Ross will survive this year on the basis it going to cost a small fortune to pay him out .. though the knobs that signed him up until 2020 need a kick up the arse on the way out .
Suban and Dawson have played their last game of afl , there’ll be anarchy if they are ever selected again and as the season progress’s keep swapping more players out . There’s a lot of worn parts in this machine that need replacing .. stop pig rooting around and get the young blokes in

In saying that I also think Ross should be given a chair in the corner . I think a big part of the issue is how he sucks the instinct out of the players whereas they have to pause and consider their next move according to the Ross guidelines rather than play with the intuitiveness that got them playing at this level of footy in the first place . I suspect the likes of a coach Bevo etc would be the opposite and more willing to let his players off the leash and let them do what they do best and that shows with how they move the ball.

It’s going to be a sorry state of affairs for the club going to the new stadium next year if they’re battling to fill half the seats .. that may well influence whether they’re willing to take the financial hit in replacing Ross sooner rather than later as well .

Add Johnson and maybe Sutcliffe to that list too. Johnson is just not reliable and Sutcliffe can't stand on his own pair of feet

  Absolute SHIT from

Mon, 2017-04-03 12:22

Absolute SHIT from freo...back half plus game plan....kicking side ways shit, the four mentioned above need to step aside for sure.

Solid tipping again...surge by 3 with a close bunch following, Rd 3 looks a lot harder to pick.
