A$$hole sellers on Gumtree
Just a winge.
Over the weekend someone on gumtree was selling a Simrad S2009 and HDS5 for $300. Bloody cheap. Anyway. I called him and we agreed on a price and agreed for me to pick it up the following morning. I offered to pay the deposit via eft to which the reply was "nah mate...I trust you. I run my own business. Im trustworthy. I wont sell it from under you". Anyway, long story short, the slime bag wouldnt take my calls the next morning and my messages keep going to his message bank which clearly says his business name.
Way to promote your business you flog. I wont name and shame him but this is not the first time its happened to me. Dont get me wrong, if the guy realises he is selling too cheap then he should just man up and take the call and explain it.
So, if you happened to be the seller and you are on FW, stop being a turd. If however you managed to pick up a bargain over the weekend, well done.
Winge over.

S2009 and HDS5 for $300 ........seems too good to be true.
S2009 sell for well over a $1000 new and they are still the current model. I don't know the guy or his business but I would be makeing a discrete phone call to the police to see is any sounders have gone missing lately.

Had one the other month
Was selling a car get email to contact another person from over east with the BS story about limited access to bank details message bank etc.
They got a nice email in response with a polite F---off.

The backstory sounded fair. Spoke to him for a good 5 minutes.
Too good to be true....probably. The thing that lead me to believe it was legit was the level of detail about himself (and being forwarded to a message bank which clearly states who he was). Perhaps he's just not a clever crook, or more likely was just offered more money by someone else and renegged.
Not going to name and shame. Im not good at biting my tongue...but if he is an asshat I dont need him chasing me down for defamation or worse.
Anyway. Ive calmed down now.
