Alice Rains

Got some good rains in Alice Springs over the last couple of days and there is more on the way. As a result, the todd river is flowing well through town at the moment. Got this clip this morning as well as a few pics.

It usually flows around 2 or 3 times each wet season... but the one pictured above was a bit higher than normal... though it wasn't quite a flood yet...

The Todd hasn't flowed
The Todd hasn't flowed that well for a couple of years. Last weeks rain fall was twice as much as we had all last year!

if ever in town
the bigest flood waters were as high as the top self in Woolworths in town....
always good when it rains in the desert.......
but dont recommend camping in creek beds :)

Looks almost big enough to wash away the beer cans in the river bed. And probably a few campsites as well

Yep I was in town for last
Yep I was in town for last weeks rainfall... nearly evacuated people on Barrett drive. Awesome stuff.. been swimming in the river lately.
