Aren't you better off keeping some just in case you damage what you have . Better to be safe than sorry

Gday Swompa,
Would love to know what you think of the U-Dek, comfort, wearability, price etc. Looking for a non slip surface for my boat.

Only been out once and I like it. Kids were doing bombies off the back of the boat and pushing off a piece so it wasn't slippery.
Got a bit warm but being that it doesn't retain water, it doesn't stay damp = doesn't stay cool. It is funny seeing puddles on the deck though rather than it soaking into th carpet. Sand just hosed off too.
So far so good but that is only after day one.

Swompa, I had it on my reef
Swompa,
I had it on my reef runner for 4 years... It served me well. Retained a little bit of grime but nothing a scope of OMO and a stiff broom didn't fix every 6months or so. The dark grey would be better for that but the trade off is heat i guess.
I did need to reglue a few corners but that was a pretty easy process. Everything needs maintenance after 4 years.
I would be intersted to know how soft the 5mm feels? Mine was only the 3mm and was actually prety firm underfoot. Did you manage to get nice cuts on the edges?
I'm going to be ordering for the Caribbean shortly!

Good to see! I am not keen to
Good to see! I am not keen to remove it and do the project again.
The 5mm is firm though comfortable. Similar to the sole of a shoe i guess. The Seadeck would be nicer under food though as I understand, the durability just isnt there with the softer material.
I sharp box cutter did OK around the edges but like anything on my boat, if you look too closely, you can see it is an overbuilt home job if you know what I mean. Certainly you would get a niceer finish from the CNC machine at Positive Cladding (which is where i got it from) but i am inpatient and wanted to do it myself.
I do have a tin of contact cement and fully expect to re do some edges shortly...but not this weekend.
For what we do, it is a good product.

Hi Swompa, if there's any left over I'll take it, just need enough for the tops of the gunnels on my tinny and maybe around the anchor well. I'm in Thornlie also.
Thanks, Paul
