For All You Fathers on fathers Day ( Which I Know Would Never Do this *LOL*)
Recived this in our email today thought i would share it with you all:
(READ THE BLURB BEFORE LOOKING AT THE PICTURES)
What a wonderful father!
You may be forgiven for thinking that any man would look proud after
catching a large barracuda as he poses with the fish and his 14 year-old
daughter at the marina afterwards.
Then you may wonder why his daughter looks less than thrilled.
14 year old Coral Wira was sitting in a boat while her father fished.
Suddenly she saw a silver flash in the air. The barracuda had thrown the
hook and grabbed her arm.
Father managed to kill the fish with a knife in the head.
But Coral, needed 51 stitches.
And he felt the need to pose for photos before taking her to hospital!
All i can say is OUCH

A guy here new to fishing last week caught a cuda, but thought it was a mackie. Kept it as his mate said he like s to eat mackie. Anyway.. his mate ate the cuda, and said it tasted great. A couple of days later he showed my mrs the pic of the "mackie" and she set him straight, thanks to her time on fishwrecked. sick bugger eating that!

He has gone to the effort
to kill the fish then bring her and the fish back to shore the least the girl can do is smile.The younger generation need to realise how good they have got it.
With a name like coral at 14 the fish bite is the least of her problems.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

very nasty bite
thats a very nasty bite on the girl,that would scar her for life mentally and physically,knowing that her father would rather pose with a barracuda ,that just bit her before taking her to the hospital,i think it would be more funnier if that barracuda bit him instead and she possed for the photo

First fish I trawled was a barra , in a 3.7m tinny and was a whopper . Both mine and deckies feet straight over the side as it was going mental then out came the club! After a coupla air swings the side of the boat has never been the same , dimple style .

I remember as a kid living
I remember as a kid living in Karratha, we were down at Hearsons Cove for the day. A tinny comes screaming into the bay and up the beach. One of the guys had his head wrapped up in a couple of towels that were absolutely dripping with blood. They had hooked a couda and , at the side of the boat, it took to the air and grabbed the gaff man by the head. Not a pretty sight for an 8 year old kid just new to the north west.
If the lord did not mean for us to eat fish and game, he wouldn't have made them outta meat
